I have seen some beautiful sets of Myrtlewood at Pacific Coast Woods. Has anyone built an Ukulele using back, sides, and top from Myrtlewood? If so, how did it sound? Would you build one again? Thanks in advance. |

I have made several all myrtle bodied ukuleles in tenor size and have wood now to make a baritone and another tenor. They look great and sound more similar to Koa than mahogany. Works fine and is nice to use indigenous woods. |

One of our customers, Breedlove Guitars in Bend, Oregon builds guitars with Myrtle soundboard. You can check out their webpage to see some. I thought they built some in the Bedell line also, but not so. |
